Review Process

The journal implements a double-blind review process wherein the author and the reviewer are anonymous. This is to minimize bias from both parties. RSURJ respects intellectual property and ensures all published articles are the author’s original work. Thus, all manuscripts submitted are automatically sent to the Crossref Similarity Checker. Manuscripts with a 15% and less similarity index are accepted. The average time for the review process is 3 months from submission depending on revisions done.

  • Initial Review

The editor checks if the submitted paper is aligned with the journal’s scope, format, and structure requirements and is sent to at least two reviewers. Otherwise, the manuscript is rejected.

  • Technical Review

Reviewers conduct an extensive review of the submitted article. Depending on the reviewers’ recommendations, the article may undergo another round of review or be rejected. In case of conflict with the review result, a third reviewer is asked to act as a referee.

  • Copyediting

Once the author returns the revised article, the final formatting of the research article is done. Galley is created, sent back to the authors for concurrence, and scheduled for publication.
